All local streams and storm channels worked well, even during the unusually high tide just before noon. Some localized street flooding occurred, but receded quickly as the immediate showers abated.
The National Weather Service forecast indicates persistent showers and rain through early next week, but the wind will abate.
Public Works crews will continue to monitor the unusual high tide events expected on Saturday and Sunday.
